Boxe Francaise Savate is an exciting ring sport from France. One of a few "authentic" kickboxing styles in the world, Savate offers full contact as well as light contact competition. Savate is known for mobility, fluidity and rapid-fire kicking and punching combinations. A blend of French kicking methods and old English boxing, Savate was developed in the 1800's on the sailing ships and back streets of France.
OC Kickboxing's Savate program produces some of the best Savate students and fighters in the USA. We've had several fighters win the nationals and go on to compete in the world championships in Europe. We compete regularly on a local level and have one of the biggest and most successful Savate teams on the West Coast.
