Get the Fit, Ripped Body You’ve Always Wanted!

Our Combat Fit Boot Camp is an inspired workout that uses your own body weight along with kettle-bells, battle ropes, hammers and other fitness equipment to give you a complete, full-body workout every time you step into class.  You’ll be led by Coach Mark Hibbard who provides the necessary guidance and expertise to ensure that each Boot-Camper achieves their goals in a fun, yet challenging, environment.

Class kicks off with a 5-10 minute dynamic warm-up and then dives straight into the first of 2 workouts. Each eight-week cycle is broken into 3 phases:

  • Phase 1 (weeks 1 – 3|4) Form;

  • Phase 2 (week 4-6) Strength;

  • Phase 3 (weeks 7-8) Speed.

Coach Mark is one of the most skilled, well-trained strength/fitness coaches in the industry. He holds several, fitness/health degrees including:

  • Associates of Science in Sports Rehabilitation Therapy; Fremont College, Cerritos CA.

  • Bachelors of Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training; Concordia University, Irvine CA.

  • Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration; Concordia University, Irvine CA.

In addition to his scholastic credentials, Coach Mark also has an impressive record in the industry including:  Assistant Athletic Trainer (Golden West College); Head Athletic Trainer (Orange County Blues, United Soccer League); Head Athletic Trainer (Los Angeles Rugby Club); and he works with the West Coast Sports Medicine Foundation.

For those of you who are veterans of the OCKMMA family, you will remember that Coach Mark was also the Strength and Conditioning Coach for our kick-ass Fight Team.

Fitness has always been a lifestyle for me. As a fitness professional for over 9 years it comes natural for me to motivate others. However, I was working out to maintain, which wasn’t providing me results and I needed a challenge.

Coach Mark “Honest Abe” Hibbard, who is in charge of the Combat Fit Bootcamp program creates workouts that have challenged me both physically and mentally. With several years of expertise and knowledge on strength and conditioning under his belt, I have gained a better understanding on proper strength training and muscle recovery, tools that I can utilize as a fitness professional in addition to my own personal journey.

In the past 8 weeks, I learned how to be patient with myself. I can lift heavy, but my endurance and speed were severely lacking. After several days of working on form and technique on exercises I thought I was doing correctly for months, I began to see how much more I could rep out in certain exercises without compromising the weight I normally use. One goal I hoped to accomplish was to do 1 pullup unassisted (i.e., without a band) and I did it with notes on technique by Mark. I learned how to work smarter and not harder.

Roughly halfway through the 8 weeks, I tweaked my lower back and I was frustrated with myself. I knew what I did wrong but Mark helped me get back to lifting heavy in no time. I thought I was going to be out for a few days or longer. However, with modification exercises intended to stretch out and strengthen the muscles surrounding my lower back, I was able to recover quicker without missing out on working out other muscles in my body.

Overall, I feel happier and healthier than I was before the beginning of this challenge. I can see some more muscle definition in my arms but I’m very proud of my leg gains. Most importantly, I feel more confident in myself with the knowledge that I can and I will accomplish anything I set my mind to. I’m looking forward to the next challenge! #gainzcrew



I have noticed that I can now perform exercises and lift weight that I didn’t think I would be able to. My stamina has also increased due to the training program that was laid out for us. There has been welcomed physical changes in my body composition along with changes in my mental ability. I have more a belief in myself that I can do things that I once thought I would never be able to accomplish. The atmosphere during the challenge was amazing as well. Friendships were made and everyone had nothing but support and encouragement for one another. Thanks Coach Mark for believing in us and pushing us past our limits and showing us what is possible.
